Why women wear so much of colorful , fashionable and attractive dresses as compared to men?
What is the objective ? To look good and attract men ? To score over other women in competition ? What is that fundamental motive , instinct and key differentiator which makes women to wear such dresses ? And by same logic why women do not get attracted to men wearing colorful dresses ?
Though ultimately mating, it is a fact any one sex should be attractive. In humans women are more viavcious, and attractive than men compared to other animals.

im not sure whether women become attractive to men by wearing colorful dresses.
But if you want to look at it that way, something colorful catches the eye a lot better than something monochromatic. Same goes for the animal kingdom, you see most males of the animal species have things they can flaunt : impressive horns, colorful feathers and the like.
Im guessing, what’s underneath matters more in the human species, unlike animal ones.

It’s humorous though, there is often a fine line between dressing "attractively" and being trashy or slutty. All of which will attract men…and other things, too.

I have always loved beautiful clothes. I like to wear dresses because they make me feel more feminine and beautiful. It never really had anything to do with attracting men, because so many of them today prefer skimpy clothes on women. I like a man who is completely different from me. I don’t want a man who spends time on his hair and thinks about clothes all the time. My husband wears the same colors all the time, khaki and olive drab clothes. Something I don’t understand about clothing is that I love silk shirts, but for some reason they only make that style for men. I don’t get that at all. I think I look better in a silk shirt than my husband would.

It’s purely cultural. If you look back to the 18th century, men wore tights and massive wigs and padded their calves and stuck on beauty spots and fannied around endlessly to look good and wealthy. Modern fashion dictates that men should look understated and cool, so it’s all about muted colours and effortless suits.
