How do women know what size shoe you wear just by looking at your feet?

Can women also look at each others feet and know their size. I am a guy with small feet, I measure a size 9 in mens and wear 9 1/2 or 10. Women always seem know what size I wear, is it because I have about the same size foot as them or they normally can judge.

hmmm. good question.
i can normally just tell about what size they wear. by looking at their feet of shoes. i wear ten in womens, so ive been through all the sizes(almost). so its easier.

    Fisrt let me ask does this happen mostly at the bowling alley. The sizes are printed in big numbers on the back.

    Shoe size??? I know the abouts just by having feet. I am a womens 6 so I can guess at the sizes of other women. I know my brothers’ and husband’s shoe sizes so I use that as a reference. If you are worried about the size of the shoe means the size of the _____…well that’s not accurate. I use the tip of the middle finger to wrist as reference…lol. It totally worked for my hubby :)
