Do you agree that women should receive affirmative discrimination in interviews for jobs?
After all, you men gave kept us women out of good jobs for centuries. I believe that if a man and a woman both go for a job and the woman is similarly (or less) suited for the job, she should get it. Women have a lot of catching up to do in this male dominated society.
No I do not. I can and have competed with men for jobs and have the credentials to get one with out AA. In my state AA is illegal.

That is ridiculous! The most qualified person for the job, school, club, or whatever should always get the position! If not then we weaken ourselves as a society. If you are so concerned with being dominated by men then why don’t you prepare yourself to be the best woman you can be? Instead of asking for something to be handed to you why don’t you work hard to achieve on your own merit?
Educate yourself. Work hard. Stay determined. Evolve as a human. Try to be better each day.

Firstly, ‘we men’ have done nothing of the kind – I, like every other magnificent specimen of the male of the race now existing, have never kept anybody out of a job. We cannot be responsible for the way social conditions were before we were born. Besides, my grandmothers didn’t seem to mind that they stayed at home while the old man went off to drive trains or work in the industrial plants.
True equality is when two people with exactly the same qualifications and abilities come through the door for an interview, and are treated equally. If you deliberately give the lesser of the two preference, you are insulting that person, and automatically putting them in a lower category.

Most definitely not. This is simply proving to men that women are weaker and thus need men’s "charity" to survive. Anyway, it wouldn’t yield good results because 1.) women would become dependent on such privileges and become weaker and 2.) it won’t be long before men feel unhappy about it and overturn it anyway, just as how women overturned such discriminatory laws regarding voting, political rights and such.

Feminists are a special interest group that lobbies for gender-specific rights for women… rights such as affirmative action.
I think feminists want Communism (or Marxism). We should all make exactly $50,000 a year. Doesn’t matter on the type of job it is, ones gender, schooling, intelligence, children or any other life choices… the end result should be the same for everyone. Always!
Just because a woman has ‘equal opportunity’,
doesn’t mean she should automatically get equal RESULTS.

Us men that are alive did no such thing, not were any of you women alive and whining about these things ever discriminated against. How about we give the women who were discriminated against centuries ago special privileges, but wait, they are all dead now! You seem to fail to know any history, in that most men were equally discriminated against, so we should give those dead men special privileges as well.
This society is obviously Feminist dominated, just look at the awful discriminatory laws that have been passed against men in the past 50 years, and even before that the society was dominated by a very small group of very rich men, not the average factory worker who worked 12 hours a day with a grade school education to support their families. These men made great sacrifices and here you are, someone who has never been discriminated asking for handouts and discrimination against men. Pathetic.

i so agree with you. cuz when i applied for a job the interveiwer had told me , after the interview mind you, that the job had already been filled, when i asked what gender he just looked at me funny, but said that they felt a girl would not be able to handle the "stresses of this job" and that they had given it to a guy.

Oppressing the former oppressors is not a solution, that is, if there is opression. A company that wants workforce takes the BEST suited person for the job, a person which can help the company maximize its profit. So a woman less qualified is just as worthless as a less qualified man in a competitive labour-market. There is no similar qualified, the man can work more or better, he gets the job, the woman is better and harder working, she get’s it.

No, I disagree, men and women should be treated equally in an interview. Depends on the culture of the organisation tho, if its completly male of female dominated, than an employer may give preference to one or the other. Women have some industries that men are unrepresented too, like modelling, nursing, admin, so yeah, equal opportunity all the way

I have not been keeping women out of a job. Why should I be discriminated against? No I don’t believe in racist or sexist employment practices so I don’t believe in affirmative action. This kind of collective punnishment just makes men hostile towards women. At best it’s an example of chivalry which feminists are supposed to disapprove of.

No, I think that is a very bad idea. You think you can make unfair rules and justify it because of things you perceive to be unfair in past generations? I believe the correct word for your attitude is "selfish".
How about this? Women have to pay for all dates for the next 50 years because my dad had to pay for dating my mom. Men can automatically get awarded child custody (but only if they want it) for the next 30 years and women can just pay support and see them every other weekend. If we don’t like you we can make somethign up so the visitation will be supervised. How do you like that?
