My brother has an interview tomorrow morning for Brown University and we don’t know what he should wear. Some websites say for ivy league colleges, wear a suit & tie & dress pants, and some say to wear polos and khakis. We’re so torn on what he should wear. Does anybody here interview Brown students? Brown alumni? Recently interviewed students? Please help!

When in doubt about dress, always go with the more formal choice. Even if a majority of interviewees are dressing too casually, your brother is better off dressing more formally. He does not need to wear a suit with matching jacket and trousers. He can wear a sport jacket and tie and dress slacks. He should wear a long-sleeved dress shirt, not a polo shirt. His shoes should be shined leather. The color of his belt should match the shoes.

when you go to an interview you need to ALWAYS look professiona. the 1st impression is always the last. so a suit would not hurt…or dress pants and a nice botton up with a tie.
you need to also make sure nice and ironed …and dont forget your face and hair
