What equipment do game designers use?

I’m planning to be a game designer. I’m already looking for the equipment I need, but I’m not sure what they use.

What is a computer server? I’ve heard about it used by lots of home businesses. Do game designers use it too? Or do I just need a computer with lots of hard drive space? Maybe even an external hard drive too if there isn’t enough space.

Uhh what are you wanting to do? Like more of the drawing or the programming in which case you need to learn some programming languages. You either need a powerful computer with some good software or a pencil.
