How to becom a weapon designer for the military?

what degrees would a person need from college to become a weapon designer for the military? Mechanical Engineering? Aeronautical Engineering?

oh and preferably a rifle type designer
I don’t need your jack*** answer Will. I made a 32 on the ACT and I have a 4.0 GPA. My grammar is fine.

Military weapons developments are supplied through contracts with US companies, or at least US factories.

I wouldn’t worry. If you don’t know basic grammar and punctuation, you have no chance.

  1. Well most of the weapons designs are done by outside companies

    Remington,bushmaster, colt. So your gonna have to look up companies like that.

    I doubt an Aeronautical engineering degree would help much with small arms designs.

    The military does have groups that provide feed back on weapons and submit criteria but like I said 99% of the time the guns are made by out side companies.
