Does anybody know a good place to sell my designer clothes in Los Angeles?
I am spring cleaning and have trashbags full of designer clothes. Looking to pocket a little cash and I need to know where to sell? I live in L.A. Thanks ![]()
Depending on your style/ age-range, you might try the places already mentioned or the ones below:
Crossroads Trading Co.
Wasteland
Buffalo Exchange
Wasteland is the most picky, but they pay pretty well. Buffalo exchange – it depends on the location you go to. I think the La Brea branch is super demanding, but the Long Beach branch is more accepting. Crossroads is the easiest to sell to, but they also pay the least.
The stores will give you 35% of the price they put on each clothing item (they tag it right then and there if they accept it).
After you sell your stuff to stores that buy the clothes from you, then I would take the leftovers to a consignment store (like the one in Arcadia).
You would probably make a lot more money selling each piece on ebay or craigstlist, but that takes more time.
Shops on first avenue in Arcadia that will sell for you for a small fee. Or, e-Bay, my friend makes a living doing this.
